I keep getting e-mail from friends and relatives that say, for example, an excerpt from the Qur'an predicted 9/11
... and the perpetrator (a son of Arabia = Osama bin Laden)
... and the subsequent response from the "Eagle" ( the U.S.)

The e-mail gives this excerpt:

  • Quran (9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Take a special note of the verse number !!!!!!

where, in fact, verse 9:11 is this:

Then there was the warning about the Bagel Virus:

  • Delete a file called jdbgmgr.exe which "... sits quietly for 14 days before damaging your system".
where, in fact, this file belongs on your PC !
I like this virus hoax the best. Everybuddy actually finds the virus on their PC.
My daughter deleted the file, then "warned me" ... and I had to send her another copy
On my PC, this file lives in C:\WINDOWS\system32\ with a bear icon

Then there's also:

  • DO NOT OPEN "WTC Survivor". It is a virus that will erase your whole "C" drive.

Alas, I need to respond pointing out that most of these are hoaxes ... then I point to:
